The team from Russia took the eighth place in the international championship on blind wine tasting. The tournament was held in the South of France in the castle of Saint-Pierre-de-Sergac on October 13.

China (the winner of the year before last) and Sweden (the champion of 2017) took the 13th and ninth places respectively. Last year the Russian team took 17th place, in total, 25 countries took part in the competition.

The wines of Kuban winemaking company “Divnomorie”  will be exported to Germany, the first batch is planned to be exported no later than September, - informs the Press Service of the Krasnodar Region Administration.  

It is noted that agreements on increasing the supply of Kuban wine to Europe were signed at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation on Wednesday. In May, Kuban wines were presented to Germany.

One of the largest annual exhibitions of food products and specialized equipment SIAL China 2018 was held in Shanghai from May 16 to 18. The wine-tasting competition for awarding the trademark "Kuban Wines - Pride of Kuban" will be held on May 17 on the basis of the "North Caucasus Area Research Institute of Horticulture and Viticulture".
